2024 The KUST International Conference for Finance (ICKUST)

Conference Theme: “High-quality Development of Finance”

The 2024 ICKUST provides an international forum for scholars and practitioners to present cutting-edge research and exchange ideas on issues in high-quality development of finance. High-quality development is the first and foremost task in building a modern socialist country in all respects. Our conference is supported by Finance Research Letters (JCR Q1 Journal), International Review of Economics and Finance (JCR Q1), and Journal of Economic Surveys (JCR Q2).

The theme of the 2024 ICKUST is “High-quality development of finance.” The topics may include but are not limited to:

l Corporate governance issues in emerging markets;

l New developments in capital market research;

l Topics in asset pricing;

l How cultural factors contribute to corporate finance decisions;

l Achieving pay equity in emerging markets;

l The effect of national and local institutional changes on corporate finance decisions;

l The implications of regulatory reform on corporate finance decisions;

l Digital finance and people's livelihood;

l The effects of tax law changes on capital formation;

l The impact of financial development on enterprise innovation;

l Corporate governance and high-quality development;

l Corporate finance and sustainable finance;

l Digital economy and high-quality development of foreign trade;

l Digitalization and high-quality development of enterprises;

l Innovation and high-quality development of enterprises;

l New quality productive forces and high-quality development;

PAPER SUBMISSIONS:

We only consider papers in English. Submitted manuscripts will be peer-reviewed by the program committee. Please submit two PDF files: one with title page including author information (including emails) and one anonymous manuscript (without title page) to kst2024@126.com. Please use “Submission to 2024 ICKUST” as the title of your email. The deadline for paper submission is Nov 11, 2024 (early submission is highly encouraged). The authors will be notified of the review committee’s decision by Nov 19, 2024.

We welcome participants from both academia and industry. The registration fee is RMB1200. Fees for transportation and hotel are not included. The payment method are as follows:

HOTEL BOOKING:

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES

A subset of papers will be invited to submit to the special issues of the Finance Research Letters and fast-track submissions to International Review of Economics and Finance / Journal of Economic Surveys (JoES is confined to literature review papers). Special Issue Editors (Johnny Chan, and Yuan-Teng Hsu) will expedite the review process of invited papers by using the regular paper submission standards at this journal. We expect the special issue will appear in mid or late 2025. While presenting a paper at the conference is not a prerequisite to be included in a special issue, we give preference to those presented papers. If you are interested in submitting your papers to IREF or JoES, the program chair and vice-chairs will make the recommendation after the conference as regular submissions.

2. 参会代表如有其他建议或要求，请在备注栏中注明，以便安排。

3. 昆明丽水云泉酒店单日协议房价为380元/间，会务组将根据参会代表报名时间、房型要求等合理安排住宿。

4. 为保证准确开具会议费发票信息，请务必按照各单位报销要求填写好发票信息。发票为增值税普通发票。提前转账缴费的参会代表可在报到时领取发票，现场刷卡缴费的参会代表可在会议结束前领取发票。

3. The one-day agreed rate of Fontaine Blanche Hotel Kunming is RMB380 per room. The conference team will arrange accommodation according to the registration time and room type requirements.

4. In order to ensure the accurate issuance of conference fee invoice information, please be sure to fill in the invoice information in accordance with the reimbursement requirements of each unit. The invoice is an ordinary VAT invoice. Delegates who pay by transfer in advance can collect the invoice at the time of registration, and delegates who pay by credit card on site can collect the invoice before the end of the conference.
